We are thrilled to present the second group of graduating students from the PCH Capacity Training program. With full financial support from PCH we are able to provide a platform for 25 rural college students, who are confident in their own potential and willing to help others in need.
It is the most exciting thing to witness young college students, especially the female students, find a career option in social projects and more importantly to see their efforts in trying to make changes to their communities. Moreover, the female students will challenge the social prejudice against women still held in many remote rural areas over Qinghai Province when they have the opportunity to help people back home. People back in their home villages will begin to value women’s education and ideas because of this project. We believe this training program is providing a better life to more women, increasing their confidence and happiness, but most importantly equipping some of tomorrow’s leaders with practical skills that will bring change and progress in the lives of the less fortunate. Captivating International and each graduating student is in appreciation for the continued support of PCH and the Capacity Training Program! Right now, candidates are being selected for the next program commencing in the coming weeks.

25 university level students from rural, poor families in Western China, participated in the 2017 PCH Capacity-Building Leadership program. Their families have already sacrificed so much to get them to university and are quite possibly in debt for the rest of their lives.

This is the 4th year that PCH and Captivating have partnered together to bring special training to university students in China. 24 students recently graduated the PCH Capacity Training program over a 5 month period, learning skills in project management, implementation and reporting. These students now understand the importance of giving back to their communities and are equipped to be able to see the needs in their communities and have the capacity to make a difference.
