Marilyn’s Farm

Marilyn and her husband are incredibly proud vegetable farmers who work hard to provide for their family of five, including two young children in elementary school. They devote themselves to their crops every day, ensuring that the plants grow strong and healthy.

Marilyn stands in their farm

Their unwavering diligence pays off, with most of their crops ready for harvest in just a few short months. Even during the months in between, Marilyn takes on the challenge of supplying coconut fruit in the public market so that they have a sustainable source of income for their family.

Despite the challenges that come with the monsoon season, which can destabilize the soil and destroy their crops, Marilyn and her husband remain steadfast in their commitment to their work. They are determined to see their children through school and hope that through their hard work, they will be able to give them the formal education that they need to be successful in life.

As the typhoon season in the Philippines continues through October, we continue to support our staff and clients by closely monitoring their safety and well-being.
