Songfen

Songfen is taking up Hotel Management and is one of the scholars in our One More Year Scholarship Program. She expresses her gratefulness to her parents and the people who support her.

“I am adopted by my parents, and I know it hasn’t been easy for them since they got me. They are getting older and have weaker bodies. They worked hard to save money for my studies. Although they are not my biological parents, I love them very much. I also help them with farm work and housework which helped me develop tenacity and strong self-esteem.

Thank you for your help. I have received all the assistance you provided. I may not know who you are, but I will always remember your kindness to me, because your help is really precious to me. Like the Chinese saying: “send the charcoal when I am cold in snow”.

I thank my vocational school for training me, and my leaders and teachers for supporting me both in life and in my spiritual needs. Thank you all sincerely! I must study hard to become a useful person to the society. Your support does not only provide financial aid, but also faith and courage to live. Being poor felt like life has given us too much misfortunes, but with your funding, we became extremely lucky. For me, it’s like receiving the Olympic torch from you, which I will definitely pass on to everyone so that they will also be full of love.

Again, thank you for your assistance and love to me!”

Thanks to ZURU for supporting Songfen.
