Sangje had to drop out of school three years ago because of financial difficulties. After her mother got divorced, they had to leave home, taking nothing with them - no cattle or sheep, and no grassland. All their mother had was her and her two other siblings.

Sonam is a single mom of two children. She had to drop out of school when she was just in the second grade. Because of this, she had limited options for employment. When she was introduced to the My First Job Program, she did everything she could to make sure she could attend each training sessions and learn as much as possible.

Life hasn't been kind to Gongbotso and her family. Her father and her husband had never been to school and so they found it difficult to find a job that would earn them enough money. She was grateful to have the opportunity to learn more and enhance her basic tailoring skills and make a living out of it.

For others, simply learning how to type and having the opportunity to master the skill is a privilege - one that is welcomed with much joy and excitement. Angshutso was part of the Husky Energy Tailoring Skills Program for Women and completed her training in July 2019. Angshutso is a single mom. She owns no cattle or sheep and has only been to grade 2 at school. The program gave her skills in a variety of clothing designs and the confidence that her clothes were of such quality that she could sell them.

Caihangji enrolled in the Vocational School Scholarship program in 2016 and majored in Medicine. After two years of hard study and 1 year internship, she graduated as one of the top 10 in her class of 29 students. She is now officially employed as a pharmacist and earns a good monthly salary. She is very excited about her new found independence and ability to earn good money.

Qujiangtso has never been to school but understands the value of education. She wants to give her children good education but because of her lack of education and skills, is unable to find a stable job.
