HOW MANY SPONSORS DOES A CAPTIVATING CHILD HAVE?
It depends on the circumstances of the child and the project budget. If the child does not live with his/her family, then total program costs are much higher. In such cases we require two sponsors for each child (a total of $80 mth/$960 per year).
Many people choose to fully sponsor a child and, therefore, double sponsor a child in this situation. If, however, the child is still part of his/her family, costs are lower and only one sponsor per child is required ($40 mth / $480 per year). The number of sponsors a child requires is clearly shown on the website summary details for each child.
YOUR SPONSORSHIP PROVIDES some or all of the following:
- Medical care and schooling for your child.
- Complete home care and support for your child if they are not staying with their family.
- Support to improve and better resource the school your child attends.
- Seed funding to start income producing businesses to move projects towards self-sustainability.
- Vocational/life skill development for your child to move them towards independence.
- Self-sufficiency and independence to a child’s family through home business training and solutions.
CAN I SEND LETTERS TO MY SPONSORED CHILD?
Absolutely. We encourage this. Email works best in terms of timeliness and efficiency. Simply email Captivating with your letter (info@captivating.org) and we will translate it and forward it to your child. Your child will want to respond, however, please note this might take several months as it will usually be in written/hard copy form and require translation.
