Our program, My Business My Freedom (MBMF), in Nepal, is making a significant impact by offering credit services to Nepali women. We do this by forming groups and encouraging members to save and invest. Our goal is to combat trafficking and provide a sustainable income source. This initiative has helped numerous women achieve financial independence.
Recently, our team in Nepal conducted a 3-day Financial Literacy Training Program, which saw participation from a total of 46 individuals coming from 11 different MBMF women’s groups. The program aimed to teach them how to use their financial resources wisely and sustainably.
Financial literacy is crucial because it empowers people to make informed financial decisions, understand financial products and services, and effectively manage their finances. Since the women in these groups needed education in this area, our program was designed to help them gain a deeper understanding and make wiser use of their resources.
The following were the topics that were tackled during the training:
Overall, the program was a tremendous success! It was interactive and highly informative to our aspiring women entrepreneurs.
It was an enlightening session that further equipped the participants on their financial literacy and freedom journey.
