Responsible Use of Technology

The team taught the kids not only how to protect themselves from the lurking dangers in the virtual world, but also how to be responsible with technology. The kids learned how to protect themselves from cyber bullying, how to respond when they experience it, and how to promote respect and be responsible members of the online community.

Education to Defeat Deception

We partner with an energetic and committed team in the Philippines, The Honor 1000 Team, in the fight against trafficking and the growing rates of cybersex crime. Weekly sessions are conducted with elementary students to promote awareness and educate them of the various risks online. The alarming reality is that each week, 2 out of every 10 students share their personal experiences of online phishing, account racking, and deception.

Teaching students to be safe

The local government and public schools in Siquijor are very thankful for HONOR 1000’s efforts to raise awareness about human trafficking and online sexual exploitation of children. Weekly sessions are conducted in school to teach students the dangers of online predators and how to protect themselves.
