More than 300 Women and Children Reached

As many people have lost their jobs, a lot have been suffering from mental issues, a number of families are not able to put food on their plates, and the risk of trafficking is continuously increasing. Out of desperate need, some may be resorting to selling sexually explicit materials online, while some may be easily lured to crossing the borders illegally in search of foreign employment. Our partner, 3 Angels Nepal, turned to communities, reaching them one by one and conducting awareness programs so that women and children remain informed.

When COVID-19 hit the world and Nepal went into lockdown, everything changed. Saheli’s father lost his job and so providing daily food for the family was difficult. In April, her world changed after meeting a man she knew as ‘uncle’.

Rebuilding Women's Lives

Aside from interception and rescue efforts, our partner 3 Angels Nepal also run Women's Safe Haven which provides shelter and support for victims of trafficking. Depending on their needs, women/girls stay in the shelter for 20 days to 12 months, until they are ready for the next phase of their lives.
