Just recently, we hosted an online safety seminar in Brgy. Dioquino, Quezon City. As we continue our mission to equip vulnerable communities with knowledge about OSAEC (Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children) and human trafficking risks, we help our participants identify signs of abuse and exploitation.
We not only reach out to potential victims, but we also make sure key persons in various communities attend. 50 community leaders from solo parent organizations, youth groups, community volunteers, and Council for the Protection of Children members attended our seminar.

What made our seminar unique to the others we have hosted is the unique audience. Since parents and youth leaders attended, there were insightful exchanges that were unique to each other’s experiences. Parents shared their struggles in navigating digital spaces with their children, while the youth leaders shared about online vulnerabilities. As a response, we taught them about online safety, detecting red flags, early intervention, and reporting mechanisms. By equipping these 50 committed leaders with the knowledge and tools to protect children from online harm, we are reaching an estimated 1,500 community members through their network and influence.
We are firm believers in the ripple effect of kindness, and we know even with an audience of 50, we will save many more lives. We thank Brgy. Dioquino for letting us share our advocacies. We know they are in good hands because they have leaders who truly care, and we look forward to working with them more in the future!
