Manila Slum Project Extends Support to Young Moms
In Manila's busy streets, many children miss out on schooling. But there's hope as we work to change their story.
Thanks to Honor 1000’s Micro-Finance Program, Judy is about to see two of her youngest children graduate.
Judy is happily married, a mother of eight, and a small-scale entrepreneur. Through the assistance of microloans, she was able to grow pigs as part of her business. After a year, she opened her own sari-sari store together with her daughter.
She now sustains and expands both of her businesses by reinvesting her income.
By educating and assisting mothers like Judy, we help them find alternatives and stop them from making desperate choices.
We are as excited as Judy to see more young people enjoy their youth, graduate, and make a better living.
