Sheena (*name changed for privacy) is one of the daughters at Women's Safe Haven who has set an impressive record for graduating high school.
Remely* (name changed for privacy), a Nepali woman who had initially sought better opportunities in Dubai, found herself trapped in an unfortunate situation where she became a victim of human trafficking and exploitation.
When Remely found out what was happening, she contacted our 3 Angels Community Radio (3ACR) for assistance.
3ACR was established with the mission to raise awareness about human trafficking and sex slavery across Nepal and has become a vital source of support, particularly since the onset of the global pandemic in 2020.
Throughout this challenging period, the radio station has served as a beacon of hope for individuals who have lost jobs, been separated from their families, and faced uncertain futures. Beyond being a means of communication, 3ACR has provided essential hope and valuable information. It has also become a platform for people to seek assistance with emergency food relief, legal advice, and counseling for human trafficking victims like Remely.
With our team’s guidance and support, Remely safely returned to Nepal within a month. Remely expressed deep gratitude, stating that our team provided her with a second chance at a normal life free from the horrors she endured in Dubai.
In a positive turn of events, Remely’s daughter was enrolled in the 3 Angels School, ensuring her a brighter and more secure future. The efforts of our on-the-ground team in Nepal not only rescued Remely from a dangerous situation that cost her her freedom and dignity but also extended a lifeline for her and her family to rebuild and move forward.
