Building future leaders, thanks to PCH

25 university level students from rural, poor families in Western China, participated in the 2017 PCH Capacity-Building Leadership program. Their families have already sacrificed so much to get them to university and are quite possibly in debt for the rest of their lives. These students understand the importance of education and they cherish the opportunity to participate in the workshops. Thanks to funding from PCH, these young college students were introduced to the key principles of managing and implementing development projects with many of them motivated to make changes to the lives of people who need help back in the rural areas.

Andrew Colquhoun, Captivating’s CEO, was able to drop in during his Qinghai visit earlier this year and enjoyed meeting these young people. Time was taken to share ideas and discuss ways for these students to ‘pay-it-forward’ and help their communities in sustainable ways.

Thank you again to PCH for supporting this program since 2014. Over the past 4 years, you have made it possible for 150 young people to be equipped with skills and abilities that will see them become leaders in their communities.
