From all of us at CAPTIVATING – our board, employees, partners and volunteers – we wish you the best of the festive season ahead and a wonderful Christmas and New Year.

2019 has been an amazing year of impact thanks to an amazing combination of generous supporters and wonderful grassroots program partners. Together, we’ve changed the world for so many, where we can genuinely say they are “reaching out for a better tomorrow”.

Here’s a quick snapshot of what, together, we’ve made possible:

NEPAL

• 7,749 young women were stopped/intercepted because of warning signs indicating they might be in the very process of being trafficked
• 38 women were rescued as trafficking victims from brothels
• 45 trafficking victims received long-term support and rehabilitation
• 312 women received small business loans and increased their family incomes (benefiting their 1,344 children)
• 11,106 students, police and community members attended human trafficking prevention training

CHINA

• 370 “out-of-school” girls back in vocational school
• 307 moms started new pig or tailoring businesses; or started first jobs (benefiting their 614 children)
• 3,500 women were trained in critical health & safety

THE PHILIPPINES

• 2,993 women received small business loans and increased their family incomes (benefiting their 8,979 children)
• 1,299 students in poor regions received cyber-safety training to address the growing cyber-sex problem
• 20 trafficking victims received long-term aftercare support and rehabilitation

IN TOTAL, thanks to your support,

in 2019 we significantly impacted the lives of an estimated

16,203 women and children.
