Panna (not her real name), 34, was trafficked for her kidney.
When she was intercepted at the border, her documents didn’t match her answers to the interview. Panna was travelling with a man who claimed to be related to her. The man even presented several documents as “proof”. However, the staff remained suspicious based on their conversation with the two.
With the help of police officers, it was found that Panna was being taken to another city to sell her kidney for the man’s father for around a thousand dollars. The man has been arrested and Panna was brought to safety.
