We overlooked posting this story last year. Early in 2011, everyone at Project Eden was delighted to have 70 Lychee Trees donated to them by the local landlord. About 30 of these trees were expected to bear fruit in late June/early July. To help generate income for Eden, we offered the trees for individual tree sponsorship and were thrilled with the response we got. Although everything didn’t go quite according to plan with the fruit on the trees ripening much faster than anticipated, many sponsors and friends were still able to come to Eden to pick the fruit to take home and enjoy a fun day out in the country with the children and parents at Eden. Thank you so much to everyone who sponsored a tree and helped to support the home and education for these children.
