Returning smiles to rescued girls

It was all smiles in the kitchen as these rescued girls undoubtedly enjoyed their first baking activity together. Spending time in the kitchen not only provides skills but establishes confidence empowerment for these girls. We’re sure they enjoyed eating their delicious treats.

Seeking Justice Against Perpetrator

Most victims of cybersex are young children who aren't even aware that they are being abused. The work that our partners do is crucial in coming alongside them in realizing they are being abused and that there is help. The Blessed Project exists to help rehabilitate young women and girls who have fallen prey to traffickers and the online world of cybersex.

Restoration and Dignity

The annual average increase of prostituted children in the Philippines is 3,266 children per year. Tragically, the Philippines ranks fourth in the world in terms of countries with the highest number of prostituted children (humantrafficking.org Philippines). It’s effect on the innocence of impoverished children is heart-breaking.

Safe Place for Two Sisters

The mother of these sisters works as a prostitute in the Philippines. When their mother started working at night time, she would usually ask one of her male friends to watch her kids. That man started abusing both girls repeatedly. Because of this, the two girls would usually sneak out of their house at night time and walk around the city.

Pursuing Dreams through Education

Coming from extremely impoverished families, education has only been a far-fetched dream for most of the women and girls in The Blessed Project in the Philippines. They were deprived of education because of lack of financial capacity, and were forced to work – mostly in the commercial sex industry – even at a young age.

Building a life of dignity

One of the girls from the Blessed Project made this beautiful seat cover. These seat covers are now available for rent - for parties and events in the local region. There is so much room for creativity for the girls, not only in sewing but as well as in finding ways to make these products available to the local market.
