Wonderful New Year’s Gift from QSI

As one of our key supporters in Shenzhen, QSI (Quality School International) continues to show their love and concern for Captivating kids.  Like they have done these past few years, before Christmas 2012, donations were collected at QSI’s main campus from 20 classes.   Clothing, laundry detergent, toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, rice, shampoo, toilet paper, tissues, cooking oil and other life necessities completely filled two vans! In order to encourage participation in this annual event, the school held a contest to see which age group could collect the most donations.  Every class got into it and after two weeks, the nine year olds came out as champion donors! Congratulations. All of the donations were delivered directly to Captivating Shenzhen based kids, Project Eden in Dongguan, and Promised Land (a partner organization of Captivating that does incredible work caring for 40 autistic children – see www.plse.org). Our kids were really happy with the outpouring of the gifts they received.  You have showed them your love and care in a way that they seldom experience.  A very big ‘Thank You’ to one and all at QSI for your consistent help and support.   Your generosity continues to bring us encouragement and strength and makes us keep doing what we are doing. We also want to thank each individual family for your support and generous gift for Christmas 2012.   Parents – we thank you for your support and for leading your children by example on how to love others.  Indeed Christmas is a time of giving, especially to those less fortunate than ourselves! Thank you again from our hearts!  We wish you a wonderful New Year ahead, full of the blessings of good health, prosperity and love!

My Internship with Captivating International

Annisha Sidhu writes: "When I first arrived in Shenzhen, I was overwhelmed by how hectic and busy the city was. After being excited for so long, it felt so surreal to actually be here. After graduating from university in the UK, I was really excited to start my internship, and Captivating International didn’t disappoint. From the moment I stepped foot in the office, I was made to feel like part of the team. I had the warmest welcome and felt so comfortable with everyone straight away."
