Our beneficiary, Wu Jingmei, wrote to share how the One More Year Scholarship Program has brought new hope and opportunities to her life.
In a year where so many people are finding life challenging due to COVID, we have been once again so humbled by the generosity shown by our Shenzhen and wider community. Our goal for the night was to raise RMB 1.5 million and we were completely unsure what to expect coming into the night. Although an exact result is yet to be finalized, early indications indicate we have raised RMB1.26 million. WE ARE THRILLED. SHENZHEN, YOU ARE AMAZING!
On behalf of the Shenzhen Charity Federation, thank you SO MUCH for being a part of our 12th year, Saturday, 17th October, 2020. And, once again, our thanks to the wonderful team at the Futian Shangri-la, Shenzhen.
Together, as a result of the generosity of everyone who attended, 1,000 lives (single moms, young women, and their children) will one day look back on 2020 as a turnaround year for them. A year of new beginnings and fortune.

Of course this is just the beginning. We’d love you to stay connected with us as we work to implement all that has been made possible thanks to this event. We look forward to updating you over the coming year on how these projects go. Be sure to keep an eye on our website and regular project updates.
Lastly, we’d like to thank our AMAZING, consistent and loyal Shenzhen Captivating team, and to the team at the Shenzhen Charity Federation. Your desire to keep doing this year after year is astounding and we are so lucky to have had such a committed team for so many years. Your efficiency, event management and problem-solving skills are world class. So many comment that our event is one of the best auction fundraisers they have attended, and that is full credit to all of you. We can’t believe that 12 years on, we are still getting better and better each year. You can feel SO PROUD of all you have achieved for the girls who cross our Captivating path. Congratulations and thank you.
To all who attended our event, we hope we have won your continued support and look forward to seeing you at our 13th Annual Captivating Charity Auction next year.
We love you Shenzhen!

My world is not limited to a small mountain village. I want to reach a distance I have never reached. I want to go to the top of the mountain to overlook the world and blow the night wind on the top of the mountain.
