We’re grateful to share our 2025 Annual Impact Report, which brings together the stories, milestones, and numbers from our work in Nepal, the Philippines, and China—girls getting back to school, mothers building more stable livelihoods, and communities strengthening protection against trafficking and exploitation.
In this message, Captivating International CEO Andrew Colquhoun reflects on what made this year possible: trust, partnership, and the steady work of local teams on the ground. It’s a note of gratitude, and a reminder that behind every number is a person, and behind every outcome is a community moving forward together.
Below is the full letter from our CEO, written for you—our friends, supporters, and partners—who helped make this year of impact possible.
Dear Friends and Supporters,
As I reflect on the past year, one word remains at the forefront of my mind: connection. In a world that often feels increasingly fragmented, your commitment to our mission has served as a powerful bridge between resources and results. Today, I am honored to introduce our 2025 Year of Impact Report—a year that exceeded our impact expectations compared to our original plans, and a testament to what is possible when a global community refuses to look away from the challenges facing vulnerable children and families.
To Our Global Financial Partners
Our work begins with your trust. It is your strategic support that provides the foundation on which all our programs are built. Your investment has allowed us to scale our reach, strengthen our approach, and ensure that every dollar works harder to break the cycle of poverty. Thank you for believing in our vision and for providing the fuel for our “impact engine.” 13,418 lives across Nepal, the Philippines, and China were able to take genuine and significant steps forward into better circumstances thanks to your generosity and partnership, while a further 66,000 indirectly benefited through our education and awareness programs.
To Our Implementing Partners: The Heart of Our Work
While our vision is global, our impact is deeply local. I want to extend a profound and heartfelt thank you to our on-the-ground implementing partners across Nepal (3 Angels Nepal, Aasaman Nepal, Captivating Nepal), the Philippines (Sanghaya Foundation Inc.), and China (the Shenzhen Charity Federation). My thanks also go to the amazing team at the Global Development Group, who guide, oversee, and audit our programs across Nepal and the Philippines. Thank you for helping us implement programs and initiatives that meet international development standards and expectations.

As implementing partners, you are the hands and feet behind all that this report presents. Whether navigating the remote mountainous regions of Nepal, supporting urban slum communities in the Philippines, or managing complex social initiatives in the mountainous regions of Sichuan, China, your expertise and cultural wisdom are irreplaceable. You understand the nuances of the challenges families face because you walk beside them every day. We do not just work in these countries; we work with you, and we are humbled by your bravery and dedication.

To Our Captivating Staff
Closer to home, my deepest gratitude goes to our Captivating staff. In a year that demanded constant adaptation, you have been the definition of “steady and consistent.” Your resilience is the quiet force that keeps our programs running smoothly and our spirits high. You handle the complex logistics of hosting fundraising events, late-night coordination, and the rigorous communications and donor reporting that are so important at Captivating. You do it all with a level of excellence that is rare, and you keep showing up year after year. It seems that no one leaves Captivating. Your long-term service gives us a consistency many other NGOs only dream of. Thank you for your unwavering heart for this work.

Looking Ahead
As we look forward to 2026, we are fortunate to build upon a solid foundation of consistent support. With a 20-year history, Captivating International stands on the shoulders of dedicated funding partners and long-time supporters who make our work possible. Whether you represent a company or family funding entire programs, or you are an individual who has sponsored a child since our inception, we are deeply grateful for your commitment.
In 2026, our primary focus is to ensure full funding for our existing programs. We are currently 88% funded, with a remaining requirement of USD 185k. Once this goal is met, we aim to expand the following initiatives:
- Manila Slum Program (MSP): We plan to launch two new MSP communities. These will secure schooling for 400 girls, help mothers sustainably increase family incomes, and build resilient communities that prioritize education and child safety.
- Captivating Village Development Programs: In partnership with 3 Angels Nepal and Captivating Nepal, we intend to launch five new and expanded programs in remote, struggling communities across Nepal.
We are excited about the possibilities ahead and confident that your continued partnership will allow us to achieve even greater impact. Having financial partners—whether businesses, grant organizations, or community groups—willing to support programs through their typical three- to four-year timeframes is what makes this progress possible.
Thank you for standing with us. Together, we are not just changing lives—we are changing the future.
With deep gratitude,
Andrew Colquhoun, Co-Founder & CEO, Captivating International
