The Husky Energy Tailoring Skills Program for Women started in August this year, with 51 students attending. This program is running in Western China and we have seen great potential in the students in improving their way of life.
However, there has been a delay due to the restrictions of the urban area to promote the COVID-19 epidemic prevention. To comply with this, the key materials needed for the training were held up in the logistics vehicles so the team decided that the best way to go about this was to suspend the third class for the meantime. Thankfully, the second class was not affected and continues to run.
We hope that we will be able to resume the third class soon, but the project supervisor is monitoring the situation and will immediately rush to the site to complete the comprehensive exams for the two classes once the restriction in the area has been lifted.
