Thank you, Jeff, Vanessa, Rudiger, Chandra and Ginger for purchasing the Seng Girls Home Trip planned for 2015.
This 6 day/5 night trip to Qinghai, China is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Situated on the Qinghai-Tibetan plateau, on your way to the Seng Girls’ Vocational Training School, you will see amazing scenery, mountains, yaks grazing, and nomads out on the grassland. Once at the Seng Girls’ home, you will have the experience of touring the facilities and being the girls’ personal guests as they perform their favorite songs, dances and plays for you in the newly built Guest and Tea House. Prepare yourself for an experience you will not forget. Also, prepare yourself for the cold, camping type environments (very basic…) and high altitudes. You will be traveling to heights just under 5,000 meters.
The itinerary is as follows: Day 1, fly from Shenzhen to Xining; Day 2, drive from Xining to the SGVTS (approx 10hrs), Day 3 and 4; spend at the Seng Girls’ Home; Day 5, drive back to Xining (approx 10hrs); and Day 6, fly back to Shenzhen. Air tickets, vehicle transportation, food and accommodation are covered in the cost. Captivating International will arrange all travel details. Trip date June 2015 (date to be advised/subject to travel permit approval in local area).
FOR ANYONE ELSE: If you are interested in joining this group next June, the total cost is 18000RMB. This covers all costs with the remaining balance (RMB10k or more) being a donation to the SGVTS program. For more details on this “Once in a Lifetime” experience, please contact lynn@captivating.org.
