Lhamo Tserang is a mother of two children. She has liver health problems and has always had to stay at home. Because of her poor health, Lhamo Tsernag hasn’t been able to go out and help the families income and she is also unable to do the heavy work at home. “My mother-in-law is the one who does most of the house chores at home and the whole family has been depending on my husband. I can basically do nothing to assist them in our daily life until we are lucky enough to be selected as one of the beneficiaries of the pig farm project supported by Captivating International.” said Lhamo Tserang.
In the current market, 1kg of pork sells for over RMB 25 and pigs that are raised with natural feed are selling for even higher prices than this. Lhamo Tserang is not using any unnatural feed to raise her swine so she can sell her pork at top rates. “We are expecting this swine to deliver little piglets in early next year and pigs can be sold for fair price currently at our village to improve family income. I am so comforted that I can be able to share my husband’s pressure and I am also very pleased that I can feed the pig myself. Thank you for changing our lives and giving my family a future”
