OMY: Mose to Become A Doctor
Mose, a bright and determined student, dreams of becoming a doctor after witnessing her illiterate parents face discrimination at a hospital.
On Sat 17th September Treasures of Hope celebrated their 2nd anniversary and invited customers, volunteers and charities to join them in their celebration. Treasures of Hope is a unique store that opened in Dongguan, Guangdong province in 2009. All the proceeds from the store benefit three local charities; Handa, True Children’s Home and Captivating International.
Each of the charities were represented in the store to chat to customers about the work they do in the Dongguan community. Michelle from the Dongguan women’s group baked delicious cupcakes for everyone to enjoy. Cyndi and four of the children from our Eden Project had beautiful bracelets (which were made by the children) on display and also helped to teach visitors to our table how to make their own bracelets. Children had craft activities and the adults had fun getting to know each other and sharing their experiences in the community.
We are very grateful to Aaron for all his hard work in organizing a great day for his customers and their children and particularly for his support of Project Eden.
