In rural China, many families struggle with poverty and a lack of sustainable income sources. The volatility of the live poultry market, predation, environmental challenges, and limited access to resources make it difficult for these families to improve their financial situations. As a result, they often face significant financial pressures, limited opportunities, and difficulty supporting their children’s education and basic needs.

Our Solution

The Chicken Farming Program aims to empower impoverished families in rural China by providing them with the resources and training necessary to establish sustainable poultry businesses. This initiative focuses on enhancing the income and livelihoods of these families, helping them achieve financial independence and improve their quality of life. Here’s how it works:

  • Training and Support: The program conducts comprehensive training sessions on chick breeding, poultry management, and business skills, ensuring that families can effectively raise and manage their poultry.
  • Resource Distribution: Each participating family receives an initial allocation of 20 chicks and chicken feed. Additional chicks are provided later to compensate for any losses due to predation or other challenges.
  • Ongoing Assistance: Regular household visits and meetings are held to collect feedback, provide continuous training, and address any issues encountered by the families.
  • Income Generation: Families are supported through the entire process, from breeding to selling chickens, helping them generate significant revenue and improve their financial situation.
