Help Cerdan’s dream come true

“My name is Cerdan. I am 17 years old and live with my family in a tent where we look after our yaks. Last year, a brick wall fell on my father while he was working. My mother sold most of what we own to help heal my father. Since then, my father is unable to work. I have had to quit school as we cannot afford it and I need to help at home while my mother tries to find work.

My dream is to become a doctor or a nurse…

but I never talk to my parents about this because they would feel guilty because they cannot help me fulfill my dream. I would be eternally grateful for the opportunity to go back to school and study hard to be the best I can be and to then be able to give back to my family and my community.”
