As the year of the horse begins, our activities in China have also started galloping.
From February 20 to 27, we launched our livestock training program in Sichuan Province. The program is divided into two: Chicken Farming and Pig Farming. For each program, we aimed to identify 180 eligible households out of 230 applicant families.

Prior to our field work, we coordinated with local leaders to identify which women-led households need special attention. Through the hard work of 14 members of our organization, we visited 230 households and assessed their livestock interest, prior experience, capacity to commit, and their site conditions.

Once 180 households were confirmed as recipients of the Chicken and Pig farming program (90 families each), we moved into implementation by providing them professional livestock training. We combined traditional and modern farming methods to maximize the survival rates of the livestock. Many of the participants already have experience in livestock training, but even they learned something new.
Once they graduated from the training, we distributed chicks, piglets, and supplementary feed. Our support did not end with the distribution, as we continue to provide them with technical support throughout the year. By autumn, we are expecting to see tangible and measurable results from these families.
One Act. Endless Impact.
Captivating International’s mission is to break generational chains of poverty and transform lives by empowering women, educating children, and elevating communities.
