Lolita Restocks Her Online Shop with the Latest Trends

Our Microfinance Program in the Philippines currently has 912 active members, and we continue to look for more women who want to be part of the program. Recently, ten mothers attended our program orientation. These mothers expressed their commitment to pay back their loans and grow their businesses. This is the final step towards becoming an official member of our microfinance program. During the orientation, the mothers discussed their businesses, including food stalls and clothes shops. We are thrilled to be able to support these mothers in providing for their families while also being present in their children’s lives.
One such mother is Joana, a young mother of two who started a sari-sari store to support her children. Unfortunately, her business did not succeed due to the many other sari-sari stores in her community. However, Joana joined our microfinance project this year to explore other ways to make her business improve and stand out from the other sari-sari stores. She began taking food orders for parties and learning to cook different recipes, including spaghetti and barbecue. Through her hard work and creativity, Joana was able to provide employment for her cousin and other family members.
We are proud to support mothers like Joana and to help those in need in poor communities in the Philippines. Our microfinance project not only helps mothers provide for their families but also empowers others around them.
