OH: Marilyn’s Steady Income Streams
Marilyn, a client of the One Hope Microfinance Program, is thriving with her third loan. Her food stand near a school feeds students and teachers daily.
As part of our commitment to alleviating poverty, we started the One Hope Microfinance Program to empower mothers and communities to elevate their living standards, foster positive change, and protect them from exploitation threats. We provide small business loans to micro-entrepreneurs starting at PHP 6,000 (USD 102).
Each beneficiary will join a fellowship group, where they will commit to weekly meetings for payment installments and community building. Every loan should be paid in full for a maximum of 40 weeks before they can acquire another one. Once our beneficiary has paid in full, the loans will increase in increments of PHP 3,000 (USD 51). The maximum loan amount is Php 30,000.
As we continue to expand our Microfinance Program, we would also like to involve our staff and clients in our awareness campaigns. With every loan released, our clients will receive an OSAEC (Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children) activity booklet which includes important information about this crime and the hotlines they can call in case of suspicious activity.

When a woman is empowered, she will not fall into desperate measures to make money. Here at Captivating, we aim to protect women in vulnerable groups from sexual exploitation through entrepreneurship.
