Lolita smiles brightly as she shows us her stock of clothes to sell. She is one of the members of our microfinance program in the Philippines.
With the inflation continuing to affect everyone around the globe, it has been a challenging time for many small business owners like Gina.
With both her children now in college, Gina is working hard to ensure that they will both finish their studies. Apart from her grocery store, she is also a known baker in her community.
She accepts customized orders for various celebrations. With the recent increase in prices of gas, she is grateful for her loyal customers because their consistent orders ensured that she will not take any loss. Since this is made by order, there will be no cake unsold.
With the help of our field partner in the Philippines (HONOR 1000), she purchased more ingredients and materials for her baking so she can offer more variaty and features to her customers. We continue to partner with mothers like Gina, who are working hard in maximizing their skills to provide for their family.
