We all know that true beauty is what lies below the surface of us all. But, lets face it, some people appear doubly blessed - both inside and out. Last week, our program manager (Carrie) and I had the pleasure of meeting this girl, along with multiple others from various locations of our Asia based Vocational School Scholarship program.

With the long Qinghai winter coming to an end, so starts the beginning of what will be a very active greenhouse construction summer for Captivating and our local charity partner, Shamtse. As we write this, 141 families (mostly single mother households) are waiting in great expectation for their Captivating greenhouse to be constructed.
On the 2nd of April, 500 students, parents and teachers from the Shenzhen College of International Education (SCIE) walked 10km in just 2 hours to raise funds for Captivating. Together, they raised over RMB109,818. We think you are all amazing!
One of the women who participated in the program was a 41 year old single mother with three children. This woman was illiterate, had never been to school and spent her days taking care of her sick mother.
