OMY: Mose to Become A Doctor
Mose, a bright and determined student, dreams of becoming a doctor after witnessing her illiterate parents face discrimination at a hospital.
Baishi is one of the many students who are able to continue their studies through our One More Year Scholarship Program. This is her story.
“Hi! I’m Baishi from Meigu High School, Sichuan province.”
“I’m very grateful for your sponsorship. Last semester my total score was 385.5, the third place in class. Because my subjects of liberal arts are better than subjects of science, I chose to study liberal arts. Through one semester of learning, I found that studying liberal arts is relatively easy, but sciences are challenging to understand; I still need to pay more effort in math.”
“After the division of classes this semester, I felt I couldn’t adapt and join the new class. I’m not familiar with my classmates, and I think that they treat us new as outsiders. However, I believe we will be like one family as time goes by. I feel lucky to know these new classmates and meet such a responsible teacher as Teacher Yang.”
“Before meeting you, I thought there was no hope for me to continue studying. But now, I see hope. You are the light that illuminates my way way; you saved my family and me. I wanted to say so many grateful words to you, but they all come into one sentence: thank you!”
Thank you to ZURU for sponsoring our students.
